Edgewood ISD is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of five campuses for the 2025–2026 school year. These distinctions from the Texas Education Agency reflect the dedication of our educators, students, and staff in fostering academic excellence and preparing learners for future success.
At the elementary level, two schools earned honors for academics.
The TEA awarded Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School distinctions for Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth and Postsecondary Readiness. LBJ also earned a B academic rating from the TEA. These recognitions underscore LBJ’s focus on academic progress and readiness for future educational opportunities.
Perales STEAM Elementary School earned distinctions for Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth and Postsecondary Readiness. These honors highlight the school’s commitment to innovative learning and ensuring students are equipped for lifelong achievement.
In our secondary schools, all three EISD high schools earned distinctions.
John F. Kennedy High School received distinctions in Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, and Postsecondary Readiness. These accolades reflect the school’s strong performance in core subjects and its dedication to preparing students for college and careers.
Memorial High School earned distinctions in Academic Achievement in Math and Postsecondary Readiness. This achievement demonstrates the campus’s excellence in mathematics and its commitment to student success beyond high school.
The TEA recognized Edgewood Fine Arts Academy with distinctions in Science, Social Studies, and Postsecondary Readiness. These honors showcase the academy’s ability to blend creativity with academic rigor, ensuring students thrive in all areas.
