Older students can help set the example at the bus stop. Stay alert, keep a safe distance from traffic and avoid distractions when the bus is arriving or departing. Younger riders may be watching what you do!

ROCKET PRIDE IN ACTION! JFK student-athletes know that being a Rocket means more than competing on the field or court. It means showing up for your community. Our Rockets rolled up their sleeves at the San Antonio Food Bank, helping pack food for families in need. We're proud of these student-athletes for making a difference, one box at a time! 🚀

Healthy students are ready for busy school days. Between classes, activities, athletics and time with friends, teens spend plenty of time around others. Staying current on required immunizations helps protect students from vaccine-preventable illnesses.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. School, friendships, family responsibilities and planning for the future can sometimes feel like a lot. Remind your teen that talking about stress or difficult feelings is a sign of self-awareness—not something to hide. Support is available at school.

A new grade level can bring new immunization requirements. This is especially important for students entering 7th grade, when Texas requires meningococcal (MCV4) and Tdap/Td vaccination based on state requirements. Don’t wait until a deadline—check your student’s record now.

As students become more independent, staying connected still matters. Keep up with campus messages, calendars and updates so you know about important dates, opportunities and activities. Staying informed makes it easier to support your student while giving them room to take ownership of their school experience.
