Respect on the bus helps everyone have a safer ride. Our drivers need to stay focused on the road. Students can help by following directions, keeping distractions down and treating drivers and fellow riders with respect.
Edgewood ISD is partnering with Mission City Athletics for a FREE softball clinic for girls ages 7-17.
This clinic is for those just learning the game and those who want to sharpen their skills before high school softball starts.
The clinic is free, but registration is required. Scan the QR code or use this link: https://shorturl.at/3n68D

Questions about Tdap, meningococcal or your teen’s school record? Your school nurse is a great place to start. Texas requirements vary by grade level, and nurses can help families understand what documentation the school has on file and what may still be needed.
Congratulations to the JFK Volleyball athletes who earned All-District Athletic and Academic Honors. These student-athletes led the team with resilience, determination, and drive. We are so proud to recognize their hard work, both on and off the court. Go Rockets!
Busy week ahead? Check the calendar together. Between academics, athletics, clubs and campus events, secondary schedules can get crowded. A quick weekly calendar check can help students practice independence while keeping families informed.
There are caring people behind every school meal. Our Child Nutrition teams work each day to prepare and serve quality meals that help students feel ready to learn. And remember: breakfast AND lunch are FREE for every Edgewood ISD student, every school day!
Principal Appreciation Month may be coming to an end, but our gratitude never does!
Mr. Gragert — THANK YOU! Your leadership, dedication and heart make a difference in the lives of our students, staff and families every single day.
While October is dedicated to celebrating you, our appreciation extends far beyond one month. We see your hard work, we value your commitment and we are grateful for all you do to make JFK a place where students thrive.

A little football lesson with a whole lot of love! 🏈❤️ Our Kennedy Rockets football players switched roles, teaching their moms the basics of the game and sharing a few laughs along the way. It's always special when our families get to be part of the action! 🚀

Attention Mighty Rocket families. Please speak with your students about keeping their electronic devices powered off and in their backpacks from 8:25AM to 4:00PM. In accordance with the state law, campus staff will confiscate cell phones, smart watches, headphones, and other electronic devices. Parents may pick up confiscated devices at the front office. Thank you for your support in ensuring academics remain the focus on our campus.
There’s always something happening on campus! Follow your middle or high school on Facebook and Instagram for student achievements, athletics, activities, celebrations and important reminders. You may even discover an event or accomplishment your student forgot to mention!
Busy morning? We’ve got breakfast covered—and lunch, too! Every Edgewood ISD student receives FREE breakfast and FREE lunch every school day. One less thing for families to worry about.
Tomorrow’s school day starts tonight. A consistent bedtime can make it easier for students to wake up, get ready and arrive at school prepared to learn. Try limiting late-night distractions and getting backpacks ready before bedtime. Build tonight’s routine with tomorrow’s success in mind.

Students don’t have to handle every challenge alone. Academic pressure, friendships, peer pressure, family concerns or simply having a difficult day can feel overwhelming. Counselors & student support staff are available on campus to listen, connect students with resources & help them identify next steps.
Study smarter. Plan ahead. Keep moving forward. Set aside dedicated study time, break big assignments into smaller steps and avoid waiting until the last minute. Strong routines can make demanding classes feel much more manageable.
